Hi, thank you so much for stopping by!
I am running for Marion County Sheriff because I am concerned about the future of the Sheriff's Office and our community.
I was born and raised in Salem, and Marion County today is not the same as it was when I was growing up, or even just a few short years ago. Like many of you, I am concerned about issues like increasing violent crime, drug use and the effect laws that make it more difficult to hold criminals accountable have on public safety in Marion County.
I have spent my entire nineteen-year law enforcement career with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office serving the people of Marion County. I am also a wife, a mother of two young children, a small business owner and an active community volunteer.
I am running for Sheriff because Marion County needs more than just a manager for the Sheriff’s Office; we need someone who will be a leader for public safety and bring much-needed leadership and vision to the Sheriff's Office. Marion County needs a new sheriff who is dedicated to reducing crime and enhancing public safety. We need a new sheriff who will ensure the Sheriff’s Office can retain and recruit a skilled workforce of deputies and staff who are well-trained, supported and equipped to serve our community. We need a new sheriff who has the courage to speak up and bring common sense back to the conversation about public safety. Marion County deserves a sheriff who will staunchly defend our rights, advocate for our community, and support our dedicated law enforcement professionals.
For the past 26 years, politicians have chosen the Marion County Sheriff. This November, the voters of Marion County will have the opportunity to select their next sheriff. I am the best candidate to lead the revitalization of the Sheriff's Office and tackle the pressing public safety issues confronting our community as the next sheriff of Marion County.
I can’t do it alone. I need your help and I invite you to get involved. With your support, we can make Marion County a place where everyone feels safe to live, work and play so people, businesses and communities can thrive.
